Recently I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on my hair and people keep asking me what I’ve been doing to achieve such a healthy glow. The truth is my hair is not healthy, well, at least not as healthy as people seem to think it is. I love to style my hair but lord knows all those heating tools deep-fry our hair. I have split ends like everyone else and that causes my ends to look dull and dry. I’m also bad about getting a haircut so I carry all that damage with me for a while. There are days where my hair is just one big, giant dry frizz. I know I’m not alone in this, a lot of girls struggle with this too. Even my sister has had some serious dryness to her hair from dying it all kinds of different colors (love you sis ♥). But just as I told her I am telling you, have no fear, a solution is here. And the best part, it takes minutes! I’ll go into detail on how this miracle product works and how you can cut the time from 20 minutes to 5 minutes.
First off let me reveal what the product is. Drum roll please….
This has been my secret weapon for the past few months. The John Frieda Luminous Glaze Clear Shine Gloss is a gel-creme formula that infuses a boost of shine and smooth texture to hair without changing your hair color and is great for all hair types. According to John Frieda, this product is Ammonia, dye and peroxide free and will not damage hair. Remember when I said earlier you could cut the time from 20 minutes to 5 minutes? Well let me explain further on how that works. You see, there are two ways of using this product, daily or weekly. If you want to use it weekly then the steps are different from daily use. The weekly treatment goes like this. You want to apply the glaze to unwashed, dry hair. Make sure you’re generous with the amount of product you’re applying. Your hair is suppose to be completely saturated with clear glaze. Once you’ve applied the glaze, wash hands thoroughly with soap and leave it on for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes have passed, hop in the shower, rinse it out and make sure you shampoo and condition your hair. That’s it! You can style your hair however you want and believe me you’ll notice a difference instantly.Word to the wise, wear a shirt you don’t really care for just in case the glaze leaves a stain on your clothes.
If you don’t have 20 minutes to sit around and look pretty with glaze on your hair, then there is an easier way to use it, daily. I personally use this product daily. It’s more “user-friendly” for me doing it this way because there isn’t much of a mess, I’m already in the shower and it’s just adding another step into my shower regimen. The instructions for daily use are as follows. First, Shampoo and Condition. After you’ve rinsed conditioner from you hair, squeeze out excess water, this will help the product to actually penetrate your hair. While you’re still in the shower, apply an even layer of glaze from root to tip. Make sure you use enough product to cover hair from root to tip, I can’t emphasize how important that is. Leave the glaze on for 3 minutes and then rinse off. I hate to waste water in the shower so while I’m waiting for those three minutes to pass by, I’ll usually shave my legs or exfoliate and wash my face so that I don’t feel like I’m just standing there. I know there are some of you out there thinking, well I don’t wash my hair all the time what if it doesn’t work on me? Good question. In order for the clear glaze to work, you have to use it at least three times per week and I would recommend leaving it on for an extra couple of minutes so instead of three minutes, I would leave it on for five. Other than that, you can use it daily if you want to. I’ve been using it for over 8 months now and haven’t had any side effects. It truly is a great product.
