A lot of people told me I was crazy for buying this product but then again, haters gonna hate. But seriously, this brush is probably the best thing I could have bought for my face. This product is for all my Queen B’s out there. If you’re wanting to take your look up a notch and get that airbrushed, flawless look, then look no further. This baby can do A LOT. According to the Artis website, this brush is perfect for applying skincare (moisturizer/primer), foundation, blush, contour, highlighting and setting powder. I mean….come on. And yes, I have tried applying all of the above and yes it does work. Did I also mention it’s dipped in 24Karat Gold? :0 Those who know me best are aware of my obsession with gold. It’s almost reaching Austin Powers Goldmember status dare I say (I love, Goooooooold). Just kidding….sort of.
So what makes this brush give you that natural, flawless look you ask? Their patented and exclusive CosmeFibre. The engineered fibre on Artis brushes helps apply products more evenly than animal hair and has 4-10 times as many individual fibres than any other brush out on the market. For those with sensitive skin and can’t use animal hair brushes, this brand is the one for you. All Artis brushes are Hypoallergenic and great bonus, it’s an Animal-Free brand! The amount of fibres on the Artis brushes are larger than any other commercial brush out there. More fibres do more work and therefore you are able to have a smooth and consistent application of product. Their CosmeFibre also allows great blending. I’ve tried liquid foundations, cream contours, powder and even stick foundations and it all blends so beautifully. Artis claims that their CosmeFibre doesn’t hold any product, therefore the brush itself isn’t suppose to absorb or waste any product. I tested it out and ladies and gentlemen….it’s true! I even re-tested it before typing this up. I applied a pump of liquid foundation on my hand, glided my brush back and forth and blended it evenly and swiped the brush against my white bed comforter, yes WHITE! and it did not leave a stain. In case you haven’t been impressed yet, this brush has memory shape. Uh-Huh! The material that their fibre is made out of has some shape memory to it that helps it stay in better condition than animal hair. Artis does state that if your brush gets bent, simply hold the brush under hot running water for a few seconds, reshape and allow it to dry so it can go back to it’s original state. The quality of this brush is amazing. It’s chemical and UV resistant, meaning your brush won’t degrade from cleaning formulas or from sun or light exposure.
I mainly use this brush to apply my foundation and concealer, though it’s great for other purposes as I previously mentioned. I wouldn’t recommend applying a large amount of product on the brush, instead dot your makeup on your face or add a small amount on the tip of the fibres. Remember to not get aggressive with this brush. Be gentle with it by gliding back and forth and with continuous strokes over the area you’re applying any product to. The fibres on this brush feel sooo soft on my skin! It’s an addicting feeling. You’ll know what I mean once you’ve tried it. I also recommend cleaning this brush after using it. It’s a nice habit to have and keeps your brush clean and sanitary. If you can’t clean it religiously after using it, at the most clean it after 3 uses.
Overall there isn’t anything bad I can say about this product. I’m absolutely in love with this brush and I’ve now become a huge fan of Artis. The only thing I will mention is that the white rubber on the handle can get dirty so try to clean it after you use it or it will leave a stain. Also, like any other 24K gold product, it’s a delicate brush and should be handled with care. The gold plated parts of the brush can get scratched really easily so make sure you take good care of it and treat it with love. The brush does come in a rather large blue fabric box, which I am still using to store it as of now, but make sure you find a good place to store this beauty after you use it. The price of this brush is a little steep, $75 to be exact (hence why it’s on the treat yo’self section) but you are getting a product that has amazing quality and is worth it’s value. There’s a link down below to purchase this beauty. Thanks dolls for the read. ♥
